Howard Johnson International will launch a new advertising campaign in Feburary with the theme of "Howard Johnson Makes You Feel at Home." Three 30-second TV spots, scheduled to air in targeted network markets as well as on CNN, ESPN and The Weather Channel, will feature American images that communicate the hotel brand's "values" messages and will tie HoJo to other American icons, including Chevrolet, Coca-Cola and Toys "R" Us. Three 60-second radio spots as well as print ads will follow the theme of the TV ads. Print placements will be in USA Today, AAA tour books, airline in-flight magazines and other travel publications. Ads were created by the chain's agency, Christy McDougall Mitchell, New York.
