SEGA'S SATURN "ACTION PACK" BUNDLE LAUNCHES AT £169

18th March, 1997 Stunning new price for Saturn with two top games starts this week

There's some real action in store for the serious video gamer!

On Wednesday 19th March, Sega launches Action Pack to unleash its 32-bit Saturn console bundle on the streets at a new price of £169.99 (MRP) - with two triple-A titles worth around £100.

Games in the great-value Action Pack will vary from retailer to retailer - to give consumers maximum choice. Dealers will be offering a top-class choice from Sega Rally Championship (£49.99 MRP), Virtua Fighter 2 (£49.99 MRP), Worldwide Soccer 97 (£44.99 MRP) and selected others.

This powerful initiative will be even extended to the eagerly awaited new game Manx TT (£44.99 MRP) which will be going for a burn up across Europe from 20th March. This new arcade hit will be available with the Sega Saturn for £169.99 from selected retailers.

Sega estimates that over 90% of Saturn owners buy two games with the initial purchase and that the new deal will drive the European installed base from its current level of one million units to two million by the end of this year. Saturn sales for this year are running 20% up on last year.

"By introducing the new Action Pack we're making Sega's top-quality 32-bit gaming experience even more accessible - and bringing it well within reach of millions of loyal Mega Drive owners across Europe," comments Jo Bladen, Sega's UK Marketing Director.
