SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 16, 1999--

Catch Sega(R) Dreamcast(TM) live in concert with the biggest alternative rock bands of the year.

Sega Dreamcast, the new 128-bit, Internet-ready video game system from Sega of America, is sponsoring "The Family Values Tour," featuring Limp Bizkit, Filter, DMX, Method Man & Redman and the Crystal Method.

In addition to the bands, the tour will showcase the highly-anticipated Sega Dreamcast, giving consumers a chance to play the new console and games in the "Sega Dreamcast Mobile Assault Tour" gaming arena at each concert venue.

Consumers can play Sega Dreamcast on: September 24, 1999 Bryce Jordan Center 3-6 p.m.

The Sega Dreamcast Mobile Assault Tour vehicles were custom-designed to be able to invade almost any mass consumer location. Local market attacks begin with the arrival of the 6-ton, 46-foot "assault" truck. When the truck's back hatch is opened, two all-terrain vehicles drive out, turning any location into a gaming arena with 16 playable Sega Dreamcast systems.

Partnering with Sega on the tour is IGN.com, the leading Internet destination for games and entertainment information. IGN.com will host the "Sega Dreamcast Championships" game competition throughout the tour, giving local contestants a chance to compete in the championship round for up to $15,000. IGN.com also will publish the "Official Mobile Assault Tour Web Site" at www.ign.com/assaulttour, featuring tour highlights and details on upcoming locations.

On the day the new system launched, sales topped $97 million-- three times higher than the box office sales for "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace" in its first day.

Sega Dreamcast is the most advanced video game system ever developed, with 128-bit 3D graphics power and a built-in 56K modem to offer Internet access and network gaming capabilities. Sega Dreamcast will retail for $199.99 in the United States.

Sega of America is the arm of Tokyo, Japan-based Sega Enterprises, Ltd. responsible for the development, marketing and distribution of Sega video game systems and video games in the Americas. Sega Enterprises, Ltd. is a nearly $2.5 billion company recognized as the industry leader in interactive digital entertainment media, and is the only company that offers interactive entertainment experiences both inside and outside the home.
