LOS ANGELES - (May 11, 2000) – Ubi Soft® Entertainment and Entertainment Software Publishing Inc. (ESP) have partnered to publish Evolution2: Far Off Promise™ for Sega Dreamcast™. Launching this summer, Evolution 2, picks up six months after the end of its predecessor, Evolution: World of Sacred Device™. Turn-based battles, hidden treasures, complex puzzles, random, as well as defined dungeons give players the opportunity to explore the continent of Paldia.

Disturbing dreams have been haunting Mag Launcher and Dr. Freud is no where to be found. To dispose of these recurring images Mag, Linear and Mag’s faithful manservant, Gre Nade investigate the appearance of the two mysteriously robed figures that seem to be the source of the dreams. Featuring the return of the original cast of heroes and heroines from Evolution, such as: the tough-as-nails, Mag Launcher; willowy, Linear Cannon; plucky, Chain Gun and the spicy, Pepper Box, Evolution 2 delivers intricate labyrinths to explore, tougher villains and bosses to defeat and diverse puzzles to complete. Offering much more of an expedition in danger than its predecessor,

Evolutions 2 will thrusts gamers into spirited adventures in an ever-evolving world.

Gearing up his "magic hand" type Cyframe, Mag embarks on new adventures as he explores recently discovered and uncharted ruins, to unlock dark secrets in a new world. Cast dazzling magic spells and perform powerful combos as Mag and party encounter nefarious villains and ferocious creatures, in turn-based battles, as they unearth ancient artifacts. Utilizing a clever 360-degree camera, Mag and his party can locate lurking enemies, stumble upon strange switches leading to hidden passages and find rare items in the winding ruins.

Stunning graphics offer the crispest detail and guarantee a great looking RPG adventure, as players explore the town of Museville and intricately laid ruins. A higher level of interaction is placed upon speaking with townspeople, as they assist the player with hints, items and other valuable pieces of information. FMA (Full Motion Animation) is utilized to detail the storyline as players are casts into the world of Evolution. Combining the best elements of the original Evolution and in depth gameplay, Evolution 2 will hurl gamers into a world where only the strong survive.
