LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 11, 2000

Today at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Sega(R) announced that the company will publish the adventure/RPG game "Black and White(TM)" for the 128-bit, Internet-ready Sega Dreamcast(TM).

The title, which is being shown behind closed doors, was created by Peter Molyneux of Lionhead Studios -- the creator of the first God-sim game "Populous." "Black and White" will feature online multiplayer capabilities via SegaNet(TM), the only high-speed online console gaming network and ISP. "Black and White" is slated to ship in Q4 of 2000.

In "Black and White," gamers take on the role of a god and they must command, protect or punish various tribes living on widely differing islands. Players will be able to choose between many animal creatures to maintain a physical presence among the people. Depending on the good or evil way in which gamers choose to rule, their creature will develop into a loving being or a ruthless beast. With highly sophisticated artificial intelligence, breathtaking 3D graphics and dozens of challenges, gamers will be enthralled in the world of "Black and White."
