Stunt Mode Offers Unique Challenge For Interactive Skateboarding Fans

CALABASAS HILLS, Calif. – October 20, 2000 – THQ Inc. (NASDAQ NMS: THQI) today announced the release of MTV Sports™: Skateboarding™ Featuring Andy Macdonald for the Sega Dreamcast™. Developed by Darkblack, the game is now available at major retail outlets nationwide.

MTV Sports: Skateboarding Featuring Andy Macdonald contains the popular and unique Stunt Mode allowing for intense competition and wide open action. It also boasts 10 modes of play, licensed apparel/equipment, and music from some of today's hottest artists.

"MTV Sports: Skateboarding Featuring Andy Macdonald will appeal to Dreamcast and skateboarding enthusiasts of all ages, with its many impressive features, including the Stunt Mode, which will challenge players to perform detailed tricks to the best of their abilities."

In this fast paced game, players can choose to skate as one of 14 professional skateboarders in over 30 huge and varying levels attempting to master more than 60 unique tricks-- groupable into literally thousands of combos. Or start from amateur status and attempt to take one of ten fantasy skaters to pro status by winning a series of competitions. Additionally, four multi-player modes including Battle, Deathmatch, MTV Hunt, and Time Bomb give skaters the opportunity to challenge their friends to totally sick skate competitions.
