x months ago I went through the Dreamcast library looking for Flash logos, thinking that Flash was used to make the UI or something. But while this was genuinely a thing in the years which followed, on the Dreamcast I think the Flash logos just denote that the NetFront browser supports it. Or specific versions of the NetFront browser support it.

And just because the browser supports it doesn't meant any of the games let you access web pages with Flash embedded. The logo's just there because it has to be.

I think the better plan is to replace "flash" with "netfront" and make a list of games which include the browser instead. But this is assuming there isn't some weird Dreamcast-specific extensions to Flash as there are with NetFront's implementation of JavaScript. My gut feeling is 2000/2001 is a bit too early for websites that fancy, but who knows.

Anyway not doing this right now - maybe someone has better ideas -Black Squirrel (talk) 14:14, 18 August 2024 (EDT)
