SEGA Rating

From Sega Retro does this have a Sega violence sticker? - Andlabs 13:02, 30 August 2012 (CDT)

Yeah - they've changed it a few times over the last fifteen years or so. Sega still dish out violence warnings on games made today, presumably because they don't have much faith in the CERO system (I notice they take pride in it since it's been mentioned in their annual reports). It's the only one of the original ratings to survive, which might mean it should be classed as something different. When I originally added it here I didn't realise it was still a regularly used thing. -Black Squirrel 14:28, 30 August 2012 (CDT)
OK; I was asking because of Sammy publishing that (before Sega assumed all their publishing control). The logo itself seems to have evolved several times? I somewhat remember seeing a triangular one... - Andlabs 16:05, 30 August 2012 (CDT)
and here's a game not published either by Sega or Sammy (but rather by Genki)... did Microsoft themselves license the picture? - Andlabs 11:30, 13 October 2012 (CDT)
or a first party PS2 game - something tells me this triangle version is not Sega's - Andlabs 01:47, 1 January 2013 (CST)
