From Sega Retro

When I tried sorting out people pages in the past, I realised that it's better to sort by profession rather than company, mainly because of the various AM divisions coming and going, and musicians being spread across 43803924 projects. Alternatively it would be "WORKED AT SEGA, WORKED AT SEGA"... which is kind-of expected on a wiki covering Sega employees.

Companies

It's too late for me to do it today, but I'm thinking we shouldn't bother trying to link people to old divisions of Sega (i.e. AM1, AM2, Sonic Team etc.). For one, we can't be totally confident what those divisions were/are, but also staff move around between divisions (particularly musicians) and it's exceedingly difficult to track.

So I'm thinking it might be simpler in the short-term (for Sega people at least) to go for "Japanese Sega employees" and "American Sega employees". It's a bit broad, but a lot easier to understand - far fewer people move continents.

I also think it's a good plan to cover Aspect/SIMS/Sanritsu/whatever people who worked on multiple Sega games, just organised differently somehow. Food for thought -Black Squirrel (talk) 16:09, 23 November 2017 (CST)
