Ultima Underworld is a first-person action game released by Blue Sky Productions and Origin Systems in 1992 as a spin-off to the Ultima series of RPGs. It was set to be released for the Sega Mega-CD at one point in time, although the final product did not materialise for unknown reasons.
Little is known about the Mega-CD version of Ultima Underworld. A version almost identical to the DOS original (it may have even been the DOS game - Ultima Underworld was groundbreaking in its use of 3D graphics at the time, and the Mega-CD may not have been able to cope) was put on display at Summer CES 1992 (alongside a Mega-CD version of Wing Commander, also by Origin Systems which arrived in early 1994). Sega were assumed to have been publishing it and would have likely appeared at some point between late 1992 and early 1994.
