Gulf and Western Industries, Inc., trading as Gulf+Western was an American conglomorate and former parent company of Sega Enterprises, Ltd. and later Sega Enterprises, Inc. between 1969 and 1984. In 1989, G+W rebranded itself to Paramount Communications after divesting its non-entertainment assets to different companies. PCI would be later acquired by Viacom in 1994.
