Carnage is an unreleased Sega Mega-CD isometric action strategy game developed by Futurescape Productions and slated to be published by Crystal Dynamics[1] around 1994. Plot
“ | CARNAGE was an action/strategy game in a science fiction setting. This game was being created in conjunction with Crystal Dynamics for the Sega CD. It would be the last project I would work on at Futurescape. I created conceptual art and 3D art which was used for screen mockups. This game was cancelled just as it was inching towards production. | „ |
— Futurescape artist Rick Lucey[1] |
Gameplay
Existing storyboards show Carnage being played from an isometric perspective by a single protagonist, who has access to a variety of tactical abilities, items, and opportunities to take cover.
