VR Baseball '97 is a PlayStation baseball game released by Interplay under its VR Sports brand.
The game was originally announced as VRSL Baseball (being listed on early North American Saturn console boxes) before being re-announced at the beginning of 1996 as VR Baseball '96, alongside the Gremlin Interactive-developed VR Soccer '96 (Actua Soccer) and VR Golf '96 (Actua Golf) for a Q1 1996 release across the Sega Saturn, PlayStation and Windows PC platforms[2]. All three were delayed significantly, with Soccer dropping its "'96" where it could, and Golf and Baseball becoming VR Golf '97 and VR Baseball '97, respectively when given their new release dates of Spring 1997.
However, while the Saturn and PC ports of VR Baseball '97 were advertised in North America, only the PlayStation version was released.
