FL Pengo is a vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) tabletop game manufactured by Bandai Electronics under license by Sega. It is based on the 1982 arcade game, Pengo, and is one of several VFD games to be released as part of Bandai's FL series (the other Sega release is FL Zaxxon).
FL Pengo is a VFD interpretation of a simple Pengo stage. It follows the same rules as the arcade game - Pengo having to push blocks to flatten enemies. It is, however, played on a much smaller scale - the play area is only a 7x4 grid and features such as sno-bee eggs and screen wobbling have been omitted. There are still bonus points awarded by aligning the three diamond blocks, though here these blocks are identified as the ones which flash, not by custom graphics.
FL Pengo does not appear to have been released outside of Japan, and its exact date of release is uncertain (though is most likely in the early 1980s).
