This page is my sandbox with curiosities and useful information about Tecoy and, consequently, their releases (mostly Master System, Mega Drive and Game Gear).

Company's name through the years

The name seen on the back of the boxes and cartridges, as well as the penultimate page of manuals, can be a good hint to tell a rough range of years for certain releases:

  • Tec Toy Indústria de Brinquedos Ltda was their original name since foundation, and used from 1987-09-18 to 1992-09-30
  • Tec Toy Indústria de Brinquedos S/A was adopted in 1992-09-30 and used until 2000-12-28
  • Tec Toy S/A was adopted in 2000-12-28 and used until current days
