In 2006, development of Xega was stopped, and a new emulator project, aiming to emulate several different Sega systems in one program, was started: Triton. After a long break of updates, questioning if the project still was going on, Michel made a new entry in the [http://www.eidolons-inn.net/tiki-index.php?page=TritonWebLog developer blog] stating that he's not dead yet and showing a new screenshot.
