Nothing new here.
Formatting issues and more
Eyo.
We love it when people expand game pages to explain how to play or what to expect, and we appreciate the effort you've gone to expand pages. That said, there are a few issues that I need to address with your edits:
- Your formatting really needs some work. A lot of it consists of lots of line breaks and lack of templates used, and as a result everything looks very ugly in comparison to other expanded pages and makes editing awkward for other editors (myself included). Examples you could follow on formatting pages would be Donald in Maui Mallard, Gunstar Heroes and Dynamite Headdy, and some key pointers you could use:
- Use button templates instead of words for controller buttons, e.g. " changes weapon, shoots and jumps" instead of "A changes weapon, B shoots and C jumps".
- Use the InfoTable template for things like character and level lists. The template page even has a guide on how to use it.
- Always italicise game titles. e.g. Sonic 3, not Sonic 3.
- Avoid more than two line breaks when creating new paragraphs or sections.
- Having a blank line beneath a section title isn't necessary.
- Please refrain from putting opinionated comments, silly jokes, and memes into your writing (e.g. "No one likes Cyclops" or "
emu war"), as a lot of those things you have written are not appropriate for a wiki like Sega Retro. For an example, see these edits I made to The Third World War to show what kind of jokes shouldn't be there. We are not TCRF. - When you feel you have expanded a page enough, consider removing the {{stub}} or {{sub-stub}} templates from the top of a page. After all, a page can't really be considered a stub if it has a lot of information on it! =P
Hopefully these guidelines will help you produce higher quality articles. --SorachiJirachi (talk) 22:07, 16 August 2020 (EDT)
