RoboCod was designed safe in the knowledge that there would be an Atari ST version, and thus all graphics would have to look good in 16 colours. While this perhaps means it does not play to the strengths of the Mega Drive, it is useful for the Master System and Game Gear which are also limited to 16-colour backgrounds. Unfortunately those versions have to sacrifice background detail - it doesn't even snow outside on the Master System.
