3D view debug mode
During the 3D introduction, press +++ MODE . This will enable "debug mode" allowing you to adjust the camera.
"Cheat" mode
Pause the game and press . Now press for "slow motion" (pressing buttons or the d-pad causes a single frame to advance, START resumes normal play) and to skip the current level.
Easy/heavy mode and tutorial
The Japanese release of Ex-Ranza disables easy and heavy difficulty modes by default. To re-enable them, go to the options screen and quickly press . Setting the difficulty to easy and starting a new game loads up a tutorial stage.
The tutorial exists in the Western version of Ranger-X but can only be accessed through hacking.
