==Uhh... what format is this?==

The more I've been writing this, I've been getting a thought... is the data track in question (or- the uh disc itself-?) actually a Mega-CD game or a Mega Drive game? Does the Mega-CD just happen to be a CD player that's connected to a Mega Drive, and its utilized here less like an actual platform, and more like a passthrough cartridge converter that uses a laser to transfer data?

I know how obviously strange that reads. I'm not putting this to words well, but- I think there is a distinction... right? I mean, it's a Mega Drive format ROM. But it can also stream audio... but- did I just describe how most Mega-CD games work? Is that how they work? my brain hurts.

If this is a CD-ROM containing a Mega Drive ROM, with no connection to the Mega-CD, BUT they only released one device that can interface CD-ROMs with the Mega Drive, and it's the Mega-CD, does the game contained on that disc become a Mega-CD game? did I just describe Mega-CD games again? is there even a distinction at that point? but would that make the Mega Drive ROMs contained on the Game no Kanzume series all a series of individual Mega-CD games packaged on- a Mega-CD? Actually, to phrase it as a less abstract question:

'''If someone took this disc and put it in a computer, and somehow fed the data from the first track into a Genesis emulator with the Mega-CD features disabled, would it boot up? It- would, correct?'''

why do I do this to myself

==Also what's this dump?==

This dump we have that's marked Mega-CD... is that just the whole album, size-wise? Like, with all the music? Doesn't really- feel like it makes sense. It's not a ROM dump. That's a dump of the CD in its entirety, album music and all. Which- do we even do that? if we do we'd need a second section for the actual game ROM portion of this hybrid disc. oh christ im going down a rabbit hole again. just leaving more of my nonsense here [[User:CartridgeCulture|CartridgeCulture]] ([[User talk:CartridgeCulture|talk]]) 04:16, 30 September 2021 (EDT)
