So I remember a little tidbit being floated around about how ''Fonz'' was the first video game to use sprite scaling. There's no definitive list for something like this (at least that's easily searchable), but the few I'm finding usually cite ''Fonz'' as being the first video game to scale sprites.

Looking at gameplay, I think it does? Disregarding the extreme horizontal skewing of the incoming motorcycles, they DO kind of appear to be growing in size as they move farther down the screen. There's a single (!) video of gameplay on youtube, and its shakeycam af... so much that, at first, I thought the claims of sprite scaling were in reference to that horizontal skewing (which could be interpreted as scaling in a certain sense...), but no, I do kinda see wobbly pixels there, looks like there might be dedicated scaling hardware?

Are Fonz and Man T.T the same?

Is this the first game to use sprite scaling?

So I remember a little tidbit being floated around about how Fonz was the first video game to use sprite scaling. There's no definitive list for something like this (at least that's easily searchable), but the few I'm finding usually cite Fonz as being the first video game to scale sprites.
