Mega Drive version
Sega logo ™ symbol
While not released in Japan, code exists to remove the ™ symbol from the introductory Sega logo if the game detects it is being played on a Japanese system.
Cheat mode
Get more than 2,000 points to qualify for the high score table, then enter your name as "ENIREHTAK".
Start a new game, pause and press:
- ++ to add a minute to the time
- ++ to get an extra life
- ++ to skip to the next level
- ++++ to toggle invincibility
This will also remove the "-Paused-" text, giving a clean pause, and add enable music track 16, "Game Complete" in the options menu.
ENIREHTAK is "KATHERINE" spelled backwards. This is a nod to Katherine Findlay, the eldest daughter of lead programmer Allan Findlay.
ALLAN high score
Pressing ++ when asked for a high score will make the game automatically delete any letters you have already entered, enter the word "ALLAN" and then exit. This is a reference to lead programmer Allan Findlay.
Game Gear version
Sega logo ™ symbol
While not released in Japan, code exists to remove the ™ symbol from the introductory Sega logo if the game detects it is being played on a Japanese system.
