Mega Drive version
Hungarian language
The PAL version of Ecco: The Tides of Time has a hidden Hungarian language option (as Novotrade was based on Hungary), accessed by pressing HOLD HOLD HOLD on the language selection screen. Other versions of the game lack this screen.
Similarly to the first game, pause when Ecco is facing the screen (or near enough) and press [1].
Unlimited air and health
Pause when Ecco is facing the screen and press . When unpaused Ecco will have unlimited air and health.
Game Gear version
Hold START during gameplay to access the map screen, then press .
Master System version
Hold + during gameplay to access the map screen, then press . While the menu is identical to the Game Gear version (other than some Portuguese translations), the menu and arrow are misaligned.
