Fully power up main weapon
Pause the game and press .[1]
Get 20 options
Pause the game and press .[1]
Round select
When the Sega logo fully appears, reset the game, and repeat this process nine more times. After ten resets, let the game get to the title screen, hold and enter the options screen. If entered correctly "Sound" will be replaced with "Round".
As this trick relies on a soft reset, it is less likely to work with systems that just have on and off buttons.
Cheat mode
Similarly to the above, when the Sega logo fully appears, reset the game, but this time repeat the process 99 more times. After 100 resets, start the game, pause and press START .
If entered correctly, the second control pad can increase and decrease the weapon level with and , scroll through weapons with and , and make player one invincible by repeatedly pressing .
This code was revealed in September 2019 by programmer Yuichi Toyama[2].
