Cheat!
On the options screen, play sounds 11, 31, 15, 5, 26, 22 in that order. This will enable a cheat mode, allowing you to select a level to start from (use "Continue Game" to warp there).
The mode also lets you enable six other codes. Pause the game with START and press:
to kill all creatures
to destroy all players
to heal
to get all spells
to finish the current level
for more mana
