Acclaim lost the license to use Charles Barkley's likeness to Accolade, and so swapped out his character for Dan Majerle in later prints. Majerle received Kevin Johnson's stats, who in turn received new values similar to Barkley's (with less "dunks" and more defense). This would affect the arcade version too.
