The Web Team, also known as the Web Design Team, is a small team within Sega of America dedicated to handling the company's online presence, primarily in the development and maintenance of official websites.[2]
Company
Founded by Sega of America sometime after the turn of the millennium, the Web Team was established to develop and manage the company's official websites, as well as providing some limited community interaction. Following the rise of social networking, its focus soon grew to encompass social media management. As the number of Sega's official social outlets increased, so did their respective maintenance, resulting in Sega of America eventually transferring social media responsibilities to the dedicated Social Team in the mid 2010s.
Reportedly, the current Web Team generally consists of less than five members at any time.[2]
