Vs. screen special codes
As with several other Midway arcade games, "special codes" can be set on the "Tonight's Matchup" screen. There are three digits manipulated by pressing TURBO (left), SHOOT (middle) and PASS (right). You must then press a direction button:
Icon | (Midway M) | (Basketball) | (A) | (B) | (C) | (N) |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
"Number" | 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 |
Screenshot | Code | Effect |
---|---|---|
0 0 1 | Shows chances of scoring in the centre of the HUD screen when shooting a ball. | |
1 0 0 | Show hotspot | |
1 1 1 | Enables tournament mode | |
1 2 1 | Makes it snow on outdoor courts. | |
1 2 3 | Adds fog to outdoor courts. | |
1 2 3 | Adds "swamp fog" to outdoor courts. | |
1 2 3 | Adds thick fog to outdoor courts. | |
1 2 3 | Adds "night fog" to outdoor courts. | |
1 3 1 | Adds a blizzard to outdoor courts (although the effect isn't dissimilar to the snow code above). | |
1 4 1 | Makes it rain on outdoor courts. | |
2 0 0 | Gives your player a big head. | |
2 0 1 | No Hotspots | |
3 3 1 | Disables replays. | |
2 3 2 | Use the American Basketball Association ball. | |
4 0 0 | Change team uniform | |
4 0 1 | Forces your team to use the special Midway uniform. | |
4 1 0 | Forces your team to use its home uniform. | |
4 2 0 | Forces your team to use its away uniform. | |
4 3 0 | Forces your team to use its alternative uniform. So if set to play at home, the away uniform is used, and if set to play away, the home uniform is used. | |
4 4 4 | Disables the initial tipoff (if both teams agree). |
