Sega logo ™ symbol
While not released outside of Japan, code exists to add a ™ symbol to the introductory Sega logo if the game detects it is being played on a PAL system (on an NTSC-U machine, the game is region locked).
Level select
While highlighting the character you want to use in 1P mode, quickly press START .[1]
See the license screen again
On the title screen, press . Press any face button to return to the title screen.

On the options screen, press (UDLR x5, ABC x5). Press any face button to return to the options screen.
Play as other characters
The Action Replay code FFC8D5:00XX, where "XX" is a hexadecimal number between 00 and 0F, will set player 1's current character, irrespective of what they have chosen on the character selection screen. 00, 02, 03 and 04 are Broude Kragger, Kain Grinder, Chronos Lait and Sarah Barn, respectively, however there are others that can be chosen as the table below shows.
