Hewson Consultants Ltd. was a British computer software developer established by Andrew Hewson.
Company
Hewson Consultants was founded in 1984 by Andrew Hewson, and primarily developed video games for personal computers. With the launch of the Sega Mega Drive, Hewson licensed out its various game properties to other developers: notably, Stormlord and Onslaught would be ported to the Mega Drive in 1991.
The company went into administrative receivership in early 1991, blamed on the early 1990s recession[1]. It was bought by a new company set up by Andrew Hewson, Nextgrand (trading as "21st Century Entertainment") shortly afterwards[2].
