Switch order of characters
On the "Vs." screen preceding the match, hold all three punch buttons simultaneously (by default, ,
, and
). When the fight begins, the player's two characters are switched around, with the secondary character now starting the match. This order is retained in subsequent matches unless the order is switched again.
Play as Mephisto
On the Player Select screen, hold START and select Omega Red, then press any other button.
Play as US Agent
On the Player Select screen, hold START and select Vega, then press any other button.
Play as Armored Spider-Man
On the Player Select screen, hold START and select Spider-Man, then press any other button.
Play as Dark Sakura
On the Player Select screen, hold START and select Hulk, then press any other button.
Play as Mech-Zangief
On the Player Select screen, hold START and select Blackheart, then press any other button.
Play as Shadow
On the Player Select screen, hold START and select Dhalsim, then press any other button.
Full gauges
After completing the game in the Arcade Mode, two additional options are added: Vs Power Gage and Combo Gage. Either can be set to Normal or Full.
When set to Full, Vs Power Gage constantly replenishes the health of both players (only in the Versus Mode) and Combo Gage constantly replenishes the Hyper Combo gauge (only in the Arcade Mode and Versus Mode).
Choose the same character twice
After completing the game in the Arcade Mode, players can now select the same character twice in the Arcade Mode and Versus Mode.
Mech-Gouki Now!! mode
After completing the game in both the Arcade Mode and the Survival Mode, selecting the Survival Mode from the main menu and pressing or
changes it to Mech-Gouki Now!! This mode allows the player to select any two characters and skip straight to the final fight against Mech-Gouki.
Play as Mech-Gouki
Mech-Gouki becomes unlockable after defeating Mech-Gouki in the Mech-Gouki Now!! Mode (which requires beating the game in both the Arcade Mode and Survival Mode to access).
On the Player Select screen, hold START and select Gouki, then press any other button. Hold START and choose Gouki again for the second character. Both Goukis will be replaced by Mech-Gouki (who cannot have a partner).
