Tokyo Auto Salon With Auto Asia 2002 () was a motoring event which took place in early 2002.
Sega brought along a special version of Sega GT 2002, exhibiting it at the XaCAR booth (both with up-right kiosks and specially-crafted racing chairs) and running a tournament over the three days[1]. Remnants found in the final game suggest verison of the game was created specifically for this event, being roughly three months newer than its showing at Tokyo Game Show 2001 Autumn, but eight months away from launch.
Two other games companies demonstrated their wares at the show; Microsoft brought Project Gotham: World Street Racing (Project Gotham Racing), also for the Xbox, while Capcom brought a build of the PlayStation 2 game Auto Modellista.
