In the snooker room, enable exploration mode. One of the objects that can be highlighted is what appears to be a piece of wall next to the grandfather clock; selecting it reveals a thread spool within a mouse hole; if the camera is rotated at the right angle, you can see a "cheat enabled!" message (which when seen, will cause a sound effect to play).
