Company
Shaw Wallace Electronics entered into a distribution deal with Sega for the Sega Mega Drive in April 1994, selling the system at at the relatively-high price of ₹18,000.[1] Sales were underwhelming, but the company remained India's official distributor of that system until sometime in 1995, when Indian video game distributor Maze Marketing successfully pitched a lower-price sales strategy to Sega and was subsequently awarded that country's official distribution rights.[1]
