Melon Brains: Exploring the Mind of the Dolphin is an edutainment title published in 1994 by Pioneer for the Pioneer LaserActive, as a LaserDisc in said console’s proprietary format, Mega LD. Aimed at “exploring the relationship between human and dolphins”[1], it is essentially a collection of dolphin-related videos, including documentary footage and interviews with experts on these aquatic mammals. The LaserDisc comprises two sides: A, “Who Are the Dolphins?”; and B, “Dolphin Odyssey”.
