I can't add any external links - I've selected all the cats, then clicked save again, I am then asked to select the cats ad infinitum.

Here are the links:

  • ht tp://www.atgames.net/front/bin/ptdetail.phtml?Part=H2001&Category=100719 Product Page of GP2628(R) model on AtGames site (with PDF manual download)
  • ht tp://www.atgames.net/front/bin/ptdetail.phtml?Part=GP1025MD&Category=100719 Product Page of GP2628-80 model on AtGames site (with PDF manual download)
  • ht tp://screengopher.byethost7.com/eng/index.html ScreenGopher website
  • ht tp://elektropage.ru/publ/sega_suslik/14 Elektropage.ru Gopher webpage (home of mdb_edit and other useful tools for the Arcade Ultimate)

Could someone add them please and/or tell me what I am doing wrong. Eddebaby (talk) 17:22, 5 September 2013 (CDT)

The external links thing keeps being raised with the big dawgs, but they've got a lot on their plate at the moment so nothing has been done (yet). This only affects regular users like yourself - Sysops (like me) can post external links, but I'm wary of doing so because it can get awkward for others in subsequent revisons - they'd likely have to edit the links again in order to save.
I would just add the links like you've just done above - inevitably this bug will be fixed and we can sort the links out at a later date. Although out of personal preference I don't like to rely on external links too much - websites can go down so there's a maintenance aspect to it, and also, unlike Wikipedia, we can afford to mirror a lot of this data on Sega Retro (for example, those PDF manuals). -Black Squirrel (talk) 05:19, 6 September 2013 (CDT)
