Empire: Total War is a turn-based strategy game developed by The Creative Assembly and published by Sega for the Windows PC. It is set in the 18th century and focuses on various aspects of warfare, including politics, ground-based combat and maritime combat.
An enhanced version of the game, Empire: Total War Special Forces Edition, was released around the same time as the standard game. It comes in a special box and includes additional content as well as an illustrated campaign map. There have also been four downloadable expansion packs made available: Elite Units of the West, Elite Units of the East, The Warpath Campaign and Elite Units of America.
