GiriGiri is a Japanese Sega Saturn emulator developed in 2001 by Shinya "MegaDeath" Miyamoto, which was able to run commercial software at a decent speed. Initially a freeware program that worked only with the Japanese version of Windows 98, Sega hired the developer behind the project and bought the software to provide an online service for downloadable Sega Saturn titles. However, due to internal conflicts within Sega and fund cuts, the CYBER DISC service that used GiriGiri was short lived. In 2003, after the theft of the unlock code to the commercial release, Sega completely canned the project and hasn't renewed the copyright since.

The emulator has since been hacked by Gavionne to get a higher compatibility, but SSF remains the better emulator in modern times.
