This teeny-tiny article needs some work. You can help us by expanding it.

Metal Lancer is an unreleased Mega Drive game programmed by Yuji Naka between development of Ghouls'n Ghosts and Sonic the Hedgehog. It was revealed by Naka in a 2016 interview conducted by Game Center CX's Masayuki Kibe.[1] It appears to be a space combat simulator. It starred a female robot pilot and used complex scaling and rotation effects comparable to the SNES's Mode 7.[2]

In June 2021, Naka tweeted a screencap of the game's placeholder title screen.[3]
