To do

  • Rewrite main References page.
  • Get image tabbing working for multiple-image entries.
  • Split Print into separate page.
  • Search this blog.
  • Search lyric websites.
  • Search sample websites.
  • Mark all product placements.
  • Ensure all entries which feature both a Sonic and Sega reference have all references listed on both their respective entries.
  • Ensure all entries which feature multiple references include an image of each reference.
  • Add Sonic products which reference Sega products (with obvious caveats; think the Dreamcast texture in that Sonic Adventure boss fight.)
  • Add non-review television/notable web shows which cover video games, but probably only with a single entry which contains a list of every Sega game which has appeared on the show. Think a single entry for GameCenter CX with a list of covered Sega games. Just one image too, I'd imagine.

To add

Film

  • Throw Down (2004) - Columns is briefly seen in the background.
  • Pulse (2001) - An unknown reference in an arcade.

Television

  • Evangelion - A "SECA"-branded camera appears in at least one shot.
  • London's Burning - The firefighters were occasionally seen browsing the internet on a Dreamcast during their free time.[1]
  • The Drew Carey Show - Dreamcast in Season 6 (previous seasons feature a Sega Saturn).[1], pics+info here[2], history here[2]
  • 1999 MTV Video Music Awards - Sega was a sponsor. During the program, Ulala (of Space Channel 5 fame) announced the nominees for the Viewers' Choice category.[1]
  • Solar Opposites - Dreamcast mention in first episode. Also, someone playing something similar to a Saturn.
  • Good Morning America - Dreamcast[2]
  • 2 Guys, A Girl, And A Pizza Place - Dreamcast in character's apartment[3]
  • Ben-To - apparently has four total episodes dedicated to VF2/The Saturn (eps. 3, 4, 8, and 9)[4]
  • MTV Cribs - another episode where some football or basketball player had a Dreamcast because Sega Sports gave him one. He was apparently a featured player in one of those games (I don't remember exactly). Or maybe I just made that up and it was the Redman one that I saw lol.
  • Bodacious Space Pirates - Unknown reference[2]
  • Gantz - Kaze does one of Akira’s moves to kill a demon. Additionally, Takeshi gets killed by an abusive boyfriend, only to play VF4.[4]
  • Air Master - Ep 1, 18 references[4]
  • World God Only Knows - episode 12. SAGA SATURN and Creamcast. Later on in the episode there's a Mega Five.
  • Gintama - An arc where the cast tries to win a Bentendo OwEe: Second reference was this, in which Gintoki and Zura are turned into old men: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x9ukgb_gintama-parodies-megadrive-owners_fun Which becomes a running joke with old Gintoki saying "In the end, you played the Mega Drive too" throughout the episode.[5]
  • Can Can Bunny S01E04 - Unknown reference
  • "Malaki animation" - Mega Drive reference

To investigate

  • Silver Spoon S02E09 2013-03-13 The episode "The Last Milk" contains a Puyo Puyo-series reference. <- I could not find this despite skimming through it twice. Therefore moving it to here until now.
  • See Spot Run <- I was unable to find a Dreamcast. Taken off for now.
  • I'm not seeing a Dreamcast in Ah My Godness or Cheaters; neither can I find a good citation for them. I'm thinking of removing them, unless someone can prove me wrong!
  • More unmarked refs[2]
  • What's the reference here?[6]
  • Someone mentioned that one of the many people seen playing a Game Gear in the movie Airheads is playing "Sonic the Hedgehog", but I wasn't able to find it.
  • Orange is the New Black - reference in "latest season of the show"[5]
  • Bob's Burgers - Season 5 Episode 9 "Speakeasy Rider" reference
  • Dream Team - members of the Harchester United F.C. were often seen playing the Dreamcast.[1] <- I went through several seasons of this show and found nothing
  • Project Pat freestyle[7]
