Sand Buggy (サンド・バギー) is a 1972 electro-mechanical racing game by Sega Enterprises, Ltd. Players drive over sand dunes and hazards, covering as much distance as possible in the time allowed. When the player has an accident, the car lifts and holds for three seconds. The cabinet is similar to that of Stunt Car (1970).
Sand Buggy was available for purchase from Sega Enterprises for ¥230,000. An additional background music system with electronic sound and an 8-track player could be purchased for an unknown price.[1]
