Sega Pro-Master Volume 1 is a strategy guide book written by Jason Orbaum and edited by Ian Livingstone for Sonic the Hedgehog (including the 8-bit version), Prince of Persia and Super Kick-Off.

The Sonic the Hedgehog section consists mostly of general tips and strategies for playing the game. There are maps for two levels from the 8-bit version: Green Hill Zone act 2 and Jungle Zone act 2; as well as four Special Stages from the Sega Mega Drive version. Finally, the book describes cheat codes including the debug mode and level select.
