As an aside, I'm not entirely sure "standard" versions exist for PS4/Xbox One full stop. There appears to be (what I assume is) a re-release in the UK with press statements on the right-hand side - but in one case here this is listed as an "alt" cover -[[User:Black Squirrel|Black Squirrel]] ([[User talk:Black Squirrel|talk]]) 15:38, 12 May 2017 (CDT)

As far as I can tell, for the 360/PS3 versions at least, there is no bog-standard release. Just the Steelbook, Nostromo and Ripley releases. Has anyone seen otherwise? - Hivebrain (talk) 20:10, 21 February 2015 (CST)

There's a batch of covers like this one - http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/8145lWuxOEL._SL1500_.jpg
But these might have just been placeholder images released by Sega - I didn't know for sure at the time -Black Squirrel (talk) 04:52, 22 February 2015 (CST)
Besides Sega's mockup covers, I haven't seen any evidence the regular editions exist. If they do then they're rare enough not to show up on ebay. It's also looking like the Ripley edition is an EU exclusive. I haven't checked PS4 and PC releases yet. - Hivebrain (talk) 15:55, 23 February 2015 (CST)
I have now seen a couple of regular editions for the Xbone. They just happen to be rare. - Hivebrain (talk) 16:38, 26 February 2015 (CST)

I don't see why Steam and Mac's App Store are "systems". They're stores/DRM, not platforms for the games to be released on. It's like adding stores like Gamestop or DRM like Securom. Steam might make sense for SteamOS/Steam Machine releases, though on second thought even that's really just Linux. Why list those instead of just PC, Mac and Linux? - TimmiT (talk) 12:19, 25 September 2015 (CET)

It's because of release dates and stuff. For example, Sega Superstars tennis was released on Mac, but it wasn't released on Steam for Mac, and if it ever was they would have different release dates. JaxTH (talk) 07:48, 25 September 2015 (CDT)

Believe it or not

There are no US Ripley editions on ebay for any platform - are we sure they exist?

Xbox One regular edition. It's just less common. I have doubts about the US Ripley edition too, but it's hard to prove a negative. - Hivebrain (talk) 18:19, 12 May 2017 (CDT)
