Why Milpo is Yoshiaki Kashima

The worklist in the archived site below includes one key game: Seima Densetsu3X3Eyes http://www.mobygames.com/game/3x3-eyes-seima-densetsu

Music (音楽) Kaoru Wada (和田 薫), Yukifumi Makino (牧野幸文), Yoshiaki Kashima (香嶋良昭)

Milpo was also nice enough to include the CD soundtrack (KICA1123/1124) http://vgmdb.net/album/1558

The OST credits the three as follows on Booklet pg. 3:

作曲.編曲:和田 薫,みるぼ,MACKY [Compose & Arrange: Kaoru Wada, Mirubo, MACKY], which becomes

[Compose & Arrange: Kaoru Wada, Mirubo, Yukifumi Makino]

Therefore, Milpo/Mirubo = Yoshiaki Kashima

If you want to know why Naofumi Hataya is not the same person as Masayuki Nagao, read post #6 here: http://vgmdb.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3515

Please read your talk page. - Andlabs 21:54, 7 February 2011 (CST)

03/14/11 So prior to this entry, discussion for both Milpo and Hataya has officially moved back here to Sega Retro as per this statement:

"If you really want to keep pushing the theory, it's fine by me. But as far as the wiki's concerned, don't treat it as fact - like the way that it's doing right now. Which is just going to cause a lot of problems in the long run if it happens to be false. Just keep the theory in it's own section, or take it to the talk page or something." - Evilhamwizard (Post #1817) http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?showtopic=8815&st=1815

Both of these met no contradictory arguments; Milpo/Kashima was actually only met with further supportive proof.

How long is this gonna drag out? Doesn't matter, I guess; this is pretty much a dead end.

If we could find Yoshiaki Kashima's birthday, that would settle it (since we know Milpo's birthday from here). I found a profile for a Yoshiaki Kashima on some band's website here. Both he and Milpo live in Suginami, Tokyo. - Hivebrain 22:57, 14 March 2011 (CDT)

All right then, let's try this again... http://vgmdb.net/album/4343

Milpo credits the Radio DC album. Milpo is not credited by that name on there. "Yoshi.K," however, is.

Masayuki Nagao's LinkedIn account http://www.linkedin.com/pub/masayuki-nagao/10/704/A06

Updated Nagao information in posts 9 through 11 http://vgmdb.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3515

You see guys, what you need to do is combine Milpo and Yoshiaki Kashima and separate Naofumi Hataya and Masayuki Nagao, not the other way around. That's not too much for you, is it? Oh who am I kidding, it probably is.

The only way you can separate Masayuki Nagao from Naofumi Hataya is if you can convince Tweaker otherwise, and at this point he will only accept a picture (or possibly word from a Sega employee). Don't bother bothering him about it; it will only put you in a bad position. evilhamwizard is looking into the situation with Nagao, though, and found a few sources for some of the info in the unsourced Wikipedia article, plus a bunch of other stuff, however this won't really change much. Sorry.
In the meantime, is there any proof Masayuki Nagao is Nagao N.Gee? Any proof he is not?
As far as Milpo goes, we're looking into that too, though the information you are providing is definitely a help. Kashima's date of birth will confirm this once and for all, as Hivebrain said.
I'm also starting to think Mirubo is not a mistake, and that it may be Milpo+Bo... but that's just a theory. Do you have any information showing otherwise? - Andlabs 17:36, 29 March 2011 (CDT)
From the album credits, we can only say that they're probably the same person (something I'm sure we all agree on, including Tweaker). We need more information to be certain however. - Hivebrain 19:10, 29 March 2011 (CDT)

@Andlabs [03/30/11] So Tweaker is the dark overlord here... good to know.

As for your Mirubo theory, I really hope you're joking. Tokuhiko Uwabo had absolutely nothing to do with the OST that name came from, nor the game itself. Check the credits again http://www.mobygames.com/game/sega-cd/3x3-eyes-seima-densetsu/credits

Wada, Makino and Kashima are all that's credited in-game.

Now check the OST. Wada, Mirubo, Macky. Wada negates Wada. Macky negates Makino. That leaves Kashima (1) and Mirubo (2) from a worklist on milpo's (3) site that included both the game and the OST. I spearheaded milpo = Kashima with that example to knock out all the variations in one fell swoop, and that was all vgmdb needed to be considered fact. Any other two game comparison with one being from a milpo game and one being from a Kashima game would have worked and yielded the same end result, but not nearly as effectively and critically as the one I just demonstrated. Logic gets the job done here pretty well; shame you can't see it like that. Also, do realize that in hiragana, the difference between milpo and mirubo is only in the 3rd symbol, and it isn't much. (ぼ=bo, ぽ=po) (みるぽ=milpo, みるぼ=mirubo). Mirubo is just a variation, nothing more, much like how Shohei Bando is also known as Syohei Bando.

Now this is the part that I don't get about you not getting it. Here milpo provides a tracklist of games that, if you're familiar with the in-game credits, you would recognize what would be amiss about it. "milpo" wasn't in Knuckles Chaotix, or NiGHTS, or D-2, or even Phantasy Star IV http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDpbxSdpG9Y#t=127s. Why do you think those credits exist even though "milpo" had no known role in any of those games? Who, then, is the only person that was involved with all of those games? The answer: Yoshiaki Kashima. It really is as simple as that; you just don't seem to see it in a way that you want to agree with 100%.

This is when I really start to question someone's common sense. After nearly 10 positive examples, and I still haven't broken through no matter how I show the relationship or how simple I make it, I start to wonder. Dan Genesis and the staff of vgmdb got it on the first run, so what's your deal?

My advice for you and hive: Stop hesitating and make a decision.
