The beginning
The company was founded in 1989 and operated in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. The company was selling games and computer accessories mainly for Commodore 64.[1]
Game BoYugoslavia and console deal
At the beginning of 1994, the company became a representative of Nintendo in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro). It began to work under the name Game BoYugoslavia and focused on the promotion of the Game Boy console [2]which was released in the country a few years before but did not gain much interest. The company has lowered the console prices so it has become more popular. The company released Super Nintendo in the same year and continued selling NES, which was released in Yugoslavia a few years before.At the end of 1994 company returned to name Beosoft and began selling Sega consoles. At the end of 90s company also started selling Sony products.
2000s
In the early 2000s, the company became very influential. Company managed to defeat the biggest rival DigiTech . The company also supported many gaming magazines like "Bonus". Later, Beosoft Kids[3] was founded which was an entertainment center for children. The company, did not go well and was finally closed. However, it is not known when.
Piracy
The company in the 90s was known for its large piracy of products. The first were pirate game compilations for Commodore 64. Games for Game Boy also received pirate compilations. The Sega games were often bootlegs. The same was with Sony Playstation games. The situation has changed after the Copyright Act.
