Mega Mindtris is a homebrew falling block puzzle game for the Sega Mega Drive. It was developed by Leander and released physically by 1985 Alternativo in 2017 as one of tier reward for Ninjajar! crowd funding campaign on Verkami.[1]

The game was released as freeware after stocks of boxed cartridges of the game ran out. This game also included in the later multi-cart release, Mega Games Almanac.

Marketing blurb

We have been talking about this game by our buddy Leander since some time ago. With music of our own Murcian David Sánchez, cover art by Daniel Nevado and printed arts by Felipe Monge, Mega Mindtris aims to get puzzle games to the next level thanks to the innovations by our pal Alfonso, with a polished finish which surprise you - for the good! You'll become addicted! Lots of action and fun for your Megadrive. Challenge your opponent and don't let him overcome you! Dare you?

— 1985 Alternativo[1]

Gameplay

Mega Mindtris can be best described as being a mash-up of 2048 and Tetris. It is a very easy to play puzzle game. Just sum the same numbers until you get the goal. A row is cleared when all its cells have the goal value.[2]

Controls

START : Start game (in the menu), pause/unpause during the gameplay. A: Makes the block fall inmediately. B: Stop the roulette, press again to activate the extra help.
