Punching Bag is a 1962 electro-mechanical punching bag arcade game by Sega Enterprises, Ltd. The object of the game is to punch the bag as hard as possible.

Like other early Sega EM games, it is similar to other machines, such as Mill's 1900 Punching Bag and Bag Puncher, Mutoscope's 1910 Deliver the Punch/Punch a Bag, and Exhibit Supply's 1941 Punch the Bag. Sega released an updated version, '73 Punching Bag, in 1973.

History

An updated version, '73 Punching Bag, was released by Sega in 1973. A key difference was that it had a more padded rim for player safety.[7]

The game appears in the 1971 Japanese TV series Wanpaku Bangaichi.[8][9]
