Yasuhiro "Y.K" Kawakami (川上 泰広) is a former Sega sound composer who worked on some of its late 80s titles, including Shinobi, Crack Down, Tetris, Cyber Police ESWAT and Scramble Spirits. He left the company in 1990 and joined Square (now Square Enix) the following year, remaining there throughout the decade. He is best known for composing music for Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest alongside Ryuji Sasai, his coworker for most of his employment with Square.
He has since become an employee for Warner Music Japan.
