Viewpoint is a 1992 shoot-'em-up by Sammy originally released for the Neo-Geo arcade hardware before being ported to a variety of consoles, including a USA exclusive port to the Sega Genesis in 1994.

The game takes place in a series of isometrically-projected corridors filled with enemies. You may freely move around using the D-pad to move around the screen in the direction pointed (so hitting Up will move up on the screen rather than forward across the field), but the screen will automatically scroll forward. B shoots; shots can be charged. A and C fire a special bomb, which you only get three of per life but can regain by collecting "P" powerups scattered throughout levels; which ones you have is shown in the HUD. Red will shoot multiple lines of fire across the field. Green will send small green bomb-like bullets homing at nearby enemies. Blue plants circular energy blasts on the ground, damaging anything that comes on top of them. The only other collectable powerup in the game is two sub-ships that fire with you.
