Test Drive 6 is a racing game released for numerous consoles including the Sega Dreamcast. It was developed by Pitbull Syndicate, published by Infogrames in 1999, and as the name suggests, is the sixth "main" entry in the Test Drive series which started in 1987 on home computers and continues to this day.
Test Drive 6 was the first Test Drive game to be released on a Sega platform as the series has typically been aligned with the Sony PlayStation and Windows-based PCs. The only other Test Drive game to see a release on a Sega console was Le Mans 24 Hours, a spin-off game released for the Dreamcast in 2000. V-Rally 2 Expert Edition was also sold under the name Test Drive V-Rally in North America, but is actually a spin-off of the Need for Speed series (both published by Infogrames at the time), spawning its own V-Rally series in the process. Whereas Le Mans 24 Hours saw an international release, Test Drive 6 on the Dreamcast was exclusive to North America.
